Olivia and Jake: Grand Floridian Wedding and Disney Boardwalk Engagement

Love, Laughter and a Grand Floridian Wedding

When Olivia and Jake celebrated their engagement at the charming Disney Boardwalk, complete with cocktails at AbracadaBar and twinkle lights reflecting off Crescent Lake, it was clear their love story belonged in the parks. That celebration marked the beginning of a wedding journey filled with whimsy, joy, and pure Disney magic.

Today, Olivia Smart shares the story of their enchanting Disney Wedding Pavilion ceremony, a stunning California Grill reception, and an unforgettable EPCOT dessert party at Terrasse des Fleurs.

Wedding Day

Getting Ready at Disney’s Grand Floridian

Olivia’s wedding day began in one of the gorgeous suites at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, where soft morning light poured in through the elegant windows, creating the perfect setting for hair, makeup, and pre-wedding excitement.

Surrounded by her closest friends and family, Olivia slipped into her gown with Cinderella Castle just across the lagoon, a true fairytale moment. The timeless beauty of the Grand Floridian offered a serene, luxurious start to the day, full of laughter, happy tears, and magical anticipation.

Every detail was beautifully captured, from the sparkle in her eyes to the lace on her dress—making this morning unforgettable.

The Ceremony: Saying “I Do” at the Disney Wedding Pavilion

With a sunlit view of Cinderella Castle in the distance, Olivia and Jake said their vows in the elegant Disney Wedding Pavilion—a dream setting for a fairytale ceremony. The day began with an intimate first look, followed by a Porsche convertible exit that added extra flair.

And yes, Mickey and Minnie made a surprise appearance, making their ceremony even more magical. (Jake was team Mickey all the way; Olivia needed some persuading!)

The Reception: Brunch at the Contemporary and Time at EPCOT

As self-declared Disney foodies (they love Disney Food Blog!), food was at the heart of Olivia and Jake’s wedding planning. Olivia creatively worked with the California Grill’s menu and later went all-out with a dreamy dessert party in EPCOT, complete with fireworks and indulgent treats.

Their brunch reception at Disney’s Contemporary Resort was light, modern, and joyful, just like them. Redbulls were secretly stashed in the car by Jake (post-hike tradition!), and heartfelt speeches kept everyone smiling.

A Relationship Rooted in Fun and Love

What makes them click?

Watching Ted Lasso & Love Is Blind
Listening to Disney Food Blog podcasts
Dreaming of skiing and Disneyland adventures
Laughing when Jacob suggests they go for a run (Olivia finds that hilarious)

Their shared favorite memory? Adopting their cat, Chippy.
Their love language? Retail therapy and surprise love notes.

Whether it’s Olivia pretending she wants to visit Jake’s favorite bar, or Jake cheering her up by plopping Chippy into her lap, these two get each other.
