Bella Cosa Wedding Photographer: What to Know Before You Tour

Bella Cosa Lakeside sits right on Lake Pierce in Lake Wales, Florida. It’s a two story Italian inspired lodge built in 1925, and it’s part of The Gilchrist Collection.

Here’s what to expect. The ballroom holds up to 150 guests indoors. The courtyard and lawn hold up to 200 outdoors. There are 11 guest suites onsite, enough for 30 to 32 people to stay the whole weekend.

You’ll get a dedicated getting ready room, a private space for your wedding party, and a dance floor built for a real celebration.

A Historic Venue That Captured Our Hearts

Bella Cosa is more than just a venue. Built in 1925, it blends historic elegance with timeless beauty. Today, it remains one of Florida’s most iconic wedding destinations.

It is also part of The Gilchrist Collection. Founded by Samantha Gilchrist in 2017, the collection brings together 12 exclusive-use wedding venues across the US and UK. Each offers a unique setting. Bella Cosa stands out for its old-world charm and warm hospitality.

For Olivia and Harrison Derner, both attorneys, the venue was everything they dreamed of. It offered intimacy, class, and a timeless atmosphere they instantly connected with.

A Lakeside Ceremony to Remember

The ceremony took place under ancient oak trees, with Lake Pierce shimmering in the background. As Olivia walked down the aisle, a hush fell over the crowd. Everyone was captivated by the moment.

The natural setting, soft lighting, and peaceful lake created a scene straight out of a fairy tale. It was emotional, unforgettable, and exactly what the couple envisioned.

Personal Touches Made the Day Unforgettable

Olivia and Harrison personalized every moment. Their fur baby joined the ceremony, adding joy and authenticity. Later, guests enjoyed a late-night snack from Papa John’s Pizza, bringing fun and comfort to the evening.

To end on a sweet note, they offered a traditional Pittsburgh dessert table filled with homemade candies and bakery treats. These personal touches made the celebration feel truly theirs. And guests loved every bit of it.
