the top regrets of married couples on their wedding day
While every couple’s wedding day is unique and special, some common regrets have been expressed by couples after their wedding. These regrets can serve as valuable insights for those planning their big day.
Andrea’s journey into luxury wedding photography began with a simple yet profound love for storytelling. Driven by a passion for capturing life’s most cherished moments, Andrea discovered her calling in preserving the candid smiles, heartfelt embraces, and fleeting moments of joy that define life’s beauty. For her, photography was never just about taking pictures—it was about creating timeless treasures that tell meaningful stories.
With determination and an entrepreneurial spirit, Andrea invested in education, equipment, and relentless practice to elevate her craft. Guided by her natural ability to see beauty in every moment, she turned her focus to weddings, quickly gaining recognition for her distinctive style and professionalism.
What began as a dream in 2017 in Orlando, Florida, blossomed into Bella Grey Photography—now Bella Grey Studios. Today, this thriving business specializes in capturing love stories and unforgettable moments for couples, showcasing an inspiring journey of artistry and dedication. Here is her story.
A Creative Beginning
I’m Andrea, and I come from a very creative family. My father, a talented oil painter, has been creating beautiful art since I was a baby. Growing up in Chile, I vividly remember my father selling his work to businesses and on the street. Art was always present in our lives, but I didn’t know I had a creative bone in me until many years later, when I took a step back and reevaluated my life.
Attending college in New York, I balanced both school and work full-time. My job at a Fortune 500 company propelled me into a busy career, often working over 60 hours a week. Eventually, I was promoted and moved out of state with just one class left to finish my degree. At the same time, I married my college sweetheart and decided to put my education on hold in favor of my career.
For the next 16 years, I thrived in the banking industry. However, when the financial market crashed, I found myself laid off despite my extensive experience.
Struggles and Personal Growth
During this period, my husband and I faced infertility, which took an emotional toll. We tried numerous treatments, but nothing worked. After several failed IVF attempts, I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility, leading to deep depression and the eventual end of my first marriage. It was an incredibly difficult time, and I couldn’t understand why it was happening.
Rather than dwell on the negatives, I chose to move away and spend time reflecting on my life. I dedicated a year and a half to rediscovering who I was. This period brought me closer to God. I still remember one day, crying out for answers, asking, “Why me?” The following morning, after attending church, I felt a peace that I had never experienced before.
A Miracle and New Beginnings
It was during this time of personal transformation that I met my now-husband, and unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant. The doctors called it a miracle, and I was filled with both joy and fear. At that moment, I realized I couldn’t return to the corporate world that had caused me so much stress. I made a promise to myself and to God that I would cherish every moment of this pregnancy and that I would capture every memory, knowing how easily it could slip away.
To help document this special time, my husband bought me a camera. I began capturing every moment, and when our daughter, Bella, was born, she became my first model. I took countless photos of her, and in that moment, I realized my true passion for photography.
Photography as a Passion
I vividly remember visiting my mother’s house and flipping through photo albums, feeling nostalgic and joyful with every picture. I wanted to create that same sense of joy for others—especially for couples and families. So, I dedicated myself to learning the art of photography while using my entrepreneurial experience to master the business side of things.
While pregnant with my second child, I continued learning photography despite the challenges of “brain fog.” My husband, working a full-time job, learned the technical side of photography and taught me. Together, we honed our skills, attended workshops with industry experts, and continued to grow.
Building a Thriving Business
In a short amount of time, we built a six-figure business, and Bella Grey Photography (now Bella Grey Studios) continues to grow. Our success has enabled us to offer opportunities to other photographers, videographers, content creators, and wedding coordinators. The love and support we’ve received from our community has been humbling, and we are deeply grateful.
Inspiring Other Mothers
I hope my story serves as inspiration to other mothers who wish to stay home with their children while still building a successful career. I was once lost, unsure of my path, but along the way, I was surrounded by amazing women who encouraged me. Their support helped me grow into the person I am today.
One of the most impactful people I met was a single mother who built an incredible business. She inspired me to take the leap, and now I hope my story can inspire others as well. It can be done.
Balancing Education and Business
Amid running a business, being a wife, and a mother, I decided to finish my degree. Although the curriculum had changed, and I had to re-enroll, I proudly earned a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity and an associate’s degree in business management and marketing.
A True Believer in Dreams
My journey from hardship to happiness has shown me that dreams can come true. Photography, once a hobby, has become my passion, and I’ve built a successful business that continues to thrive. I hope my story inspires others to pursue their dreams and never give up, no matter how difficult the journey may seem.
